Fazlun Khalid, one of the world’s foremost Muslim environmental scholars, is the Founder-Director of the Islamic Foundation for Ecology and Environmental Science based in Birmingham, England. He has served as director of training at the Alliance of Religions and Conservation and as a consultant for World Wildlife Fund.

In addition to Fazlun Khalid, the webinar will feature Ibrahim Abdul-Matin, author of Green Deen – What Islam Teaches about Protecting the Planet, and Saffet Catovic and Faraz Khan, co-founders of Green Muslims of New Jersey.

More and more Muslims want their lives to reflect the directive of the Holy Quran to serve as Allah’s khalifas – vicegerents – of the earth.  The webinar will address Muslim teachings on the environment and offer practical ways to put these teachings into action during Ramadan.

Sincerely,
