The Quran Youth Summit coincided with Youth Day (16 June 2023) and  aimed to inspire a new generation of scholar-activists, community organizers, and young leaders with a passion to live the values of Al-Quran and the Prophetic Sunnah to build a more loving, and just South Africa where there is hope, growth and opportunity for all.

The summit took place over two days, Friday 15 June snd Saturday, 16 June 2023 at Madina Institute’s Belgravia campus.

The summit started on Friday, 15 June 2023 and the theme for the opening session was “Activating your relationship with Al-Quran and the Prophetic Sunnah”.

The theme for Saturday, 16 June 2023 was “Creating a space for meaningful Muslim youth dialogue on being Muslim in South Africa”.

Shanaaz Ebrahim-Gire, a communication specialist, represented Awqaf SA at the summit. She presented an engaging session on networking. Shanaaz’s presentation focussed on how to share relevant information when meeting someone in the interest of networking.
