Nelson Mandela Memorial Cataract Camp

The AWQAF SA/ Islamic Medical Association of SA (IMASA)  NELSON MANDELA MEMORIAL CATARACT CAMP will be held during 16 and 17 July 2016. The Discharge Ceremony will be held on he 18th July 2016 at the Nursing Hall, Leratong Hospital, Gauteng and will commence at 09.30am.

Media and interested persons are cordially invited to attend the Discharge Ceremony at the Nursing Hall.

It is estimated that there are 217000 patients awaiting cataract operations in South Africa.  To date the partnership has done around 3800  cataract operations with a commercial value of around R50million since 2005, when the project started.
