The National Awqaf Foundation of Uganda (Awqaf Uganda) will inshallah be launched on 19 January 2013.
Awqaf SA welcomes the initiative of our brothers and sisters in Uganda who have taken this brilliant initiative.
Our association with the founders dates back to 2003 when Awqaf SA reps attended a conference on “Islamic Civilisation in Eastern Africa” . We have since maintained contact and invited our Ugandan brothers to the Waqf Training workshops held in Pretoria (2009) and Durban (2011).
Inshallah, we look forward to the splendid growth and development of the institution there and elsewhere. In December 2012, Awqaf Australia was launched, alhamdulillah.
