One of the greatest pleasures in the year of a Muslim is the day of Eid ul fitr. The joy of having spent a month in the service of Allah. Celebrations begin from the eve of Eid as we prepare for a day of festivities, children’s gifts,  and rewards just to see their beaming faces alhamdulillah. The night before Eid is rightly the night of prize giving for the believer. As we scramble for extra thawaab during these last few precious days, let us share the joy of Eid with the less fortunate. Imagine the delight of a child receiving his/ her gift on the day 🙂 the price of an innocent child’s happiness as he giggles in glee? Join AWQAF SA on Ramadaan Pledgeline ITV#347 5 July 10.30PM

Think Long Term. Think Sustainable Development. Make a Waqf. Leave a Legacy. Empower Communities. The institution of Waqf has contributed tremendously to the development of the Muslim Ummah over the ages. Our Masajid, Madressahs, Schools, Universities, Hospitals, Libraries, Water canals, Dams, – even pavements, roads and bridges came from Awqaf that generous donors made centuries ago. Amazing waqfs were made for sick and old animals, poor newly wed couples, poor brides, supporting hujjaaj, gifts for children on special occasions such as Eid, guest houses for travellers, research and scholarships. Waqfs were made for the support of imams, teachers, researchers, .. and the list goes on. In a world where Islamic Civilization has lost so much through colonisation and corrupt leaders, today we have a wonderful opportunity: Reviving our lost heritage. Reviving the great prophetic and divine institution of Waqf or Sadaqah Jaryiyah. Awqaf SA was established to revive this great institution. Over the years since its inception, Awqaf SA have, through the generous waqf donations made by ordinary people – men, women, young, old (even pensioners), professionals, and business people – been involved in several community development projects and programmes. From youth leadership development to publication of books; from contributing to mosques and madressahs to providing scholarships to young leaders; from poverty alleviation programmes (such as the MSA Humanitarian programme) to education programmes such as Tuition upgrade programmes for disadvantaged kids; from establishing food gardens and planting trees to greening mosques… and our latest initiative of establishing a frail care ...

PLEDGE FOR HAJJ WAQF FUND

To visit the Beloved Prophet Muhammad’s (saw)  City  Madina Munawwarah, to make Tawaaf of  the Kaaba in the holy precinct of Makka al Mukarramah,  to walk and run between the mounts of Saffa and Marwa in the footsteps Bibi Hajara (AS) in the search  for water for the infant Ismail (AS),   to stand on that great day in Arafat, and to follow the footsteps of the friend of Allah,  Hadhrat Ebrahim (AS) ….indeed The Sacred Journey of Hajj is the desire and dream of every Muslim…all for the pleasure of Allah.   Hajj is a  duty on all Muslims who can afford the sacred journey. But there are many who who save for years to fulfil their duty. Yet there are  others who yearn to  go but will never fulfil their desire just because they cannot afford the cost of Hajj. Some have the means but just not enough  to make it. Many Muslims, both from established and emerging communities,  are unable to afford their journey of  a lifetime due to poverty or  just being unable to save enough. And with inflation eating away their savings, Hajj  becomes just a dream that they can pray for. Traditionally, many sadaqah jariya waqfs were  established in many countries to support unfortunate  hujjjaj or even to assist  hujjjaj with additional facilities such as resting places, food, and medication. Those of us that have been blessed with the   means, may give a gift of  sadaqah jariyah …  now have the opportunity to contribute  to ...
