Youth Tarbiyyah

The Futuwwa Youth Tarbiyyah Programme for High School students seeks to allow young Muslims to build a holistic Muslim identity, understand the richness of the Islamic tradition and the beauty of their faith. It seeks to equip youth, intellectually and spiritually, to navigate today’s complex world. About Futuwwa Futuwwa is a Quranic term that is particularly hard to translate into English. Normally translated as chivalry, it describes a nobility and strength of character that all Muslims should strive for. It is a composite of virtues such as generosity, altruism, modesty, trustworthiness, loyalty, mercifulness, knowledge, humility, and piety. It is also described as the practice of higher moral and ethical values and fearless regard for the truth. They were young men who had believed in their Lord, and we increased them in guidance. And we strengthened their hearts when they rose up and declared: Our Lord is the Lord of the heavens and Earth; we will not call upon any god beside Him, or when we had spoken an outrage.
