Awqaf SA’s Mass Orphans Iftaar was hosted under auspices of the 1500 Legacy Project which aims at celebrating the Prophetic Legacy of kindness and care for orphans.
This year, the annual attracted up to 4000 comprising orphans from a network of orphanages across the Western Cape as well as those who came to break their fast in the spirit of community development.

Shayk Sa’dullah shared more information about the values of the 1500 Legacy project.

Former Minister of Trade and Industry, Ebrahim Patel extended a warm address to the orphans as well as a Turkish delegation from Diyanet who were special guests of Awqaf SA.

Khudamul Islam recited a melodious thikr which led to the breaking of the fast, which was followed the Magrib salaah and the sharing of a meal.
